Lions Club

Joining & Roles

Joined the Lions Club of Rourkela in 1998 and subsequently served in various capacities, from Lion Tamer to President.

Presidency, 2006–07

The club started an ambulance service in addition to its existing projects. Also started a website for the club during this tenure, which was highly appreciated by the district as well as multiple districts — it was awarded Best Website at the annual conference held in Siliguri.

Served the district cabinet in various capacities, including Zone Chairperson and Region Chairperson.

About CPC Rourkela

A prominent, non-political, voluntary consumer organisation in Odisha, established in 1985 and run entirely by a team of serving volunteer members. It provides free legal counselling, fights individual and class-action consumer cases in consumer courts, and promotes consumer rights and education.

Advantage Consumer

Edits and circulates a monthly newsletter, Advantage Consumer, to the organisation's members and well-wishers. CPC Rourkela also maintains a web portal at advantageconsumer.com.
