SAIL Is Formed

Hindustan Steel Limited is renamed Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) and restructured into an operating company to manage the country's PSU steel plants.

November 1980

Joins Rourkela Steel Plant

Joins SAIL as a Graduate Engineer (Training) after graduating in Mechanical Engineering from the then REC Rourkela. After training, posted to the Construction Department (later renamed the Project Department).

1986

Joins Consumer Protection Council, Rourkela

Becomes a member of CPC Rourkela, a voluntary consumer rights organisation.

1998

Sinter Plant-2 & Lions Club

Transferred to the Sinter Plant-2 department at SAIL, serving as Mechanical Head and later Operation Head. Also joins the Lions Club of Rourkela.

2006

Long Service Award

Receives the Long Service Award at SAIL.

2006–07

Lions Club Presidency

Serves as President of the Lions Club of Rourkela; starts the club's ambulance service and its award-winning website.

2007

Key Driver, Sinter Plant-3

Assigned as Key Driver for the new Sinter Plant-3 project — specifications, vendor selection, and contract agreements.

2012

Sinter Plant-3 Commissioned

Commissioning of Sinter Plant-3 is completed.

2014

Transferred to Sinter Plant-1

Takes charge of Sinter Plant-1, a unit constructed in 1965, and leads extensive renovation work to improve its performance.

August 2018

Retirement from SAIL

Superannuates from Rourkela Steel Plant as Deputy General Manager, after thirty-eight years of service.
